By using BriefHours, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

The service

BriefHours is a voice-based time tracking service for barristers. You send voice notes via Telegram, we extract time entries, and you confirm them. We provide exports and reports for billing purposes.

Your responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate information in your voice notes
• Review and confirm entries before relying on them
• Maintain the security of your Telegram account
• Not use the service for unlawful purposes
• Not attempt to reverse-engineer or abuse the service

Accuracy and verification

BriefHours uses AI to extract information from your voice notes. While we strive for accuracy, you are responsible for reviewing and confirming all entries before using them for billing. We are not liable for errors in AI extraction that you confirm without review.

Subscription and payment

BriefHours offers monthly (£15) and annual (£150) subscriptions:

• 14-day free trial, no card required
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled
• Cancel anytime via Telegram or the billing portal
• No refunds for partial subscription periods
• Prices may change with 30 days' notice

Data and privacy

Your data is handled according to our Privacy Policy. You retain ownership of your time entries. We process data only to provide the service.

Service availability

We aim for high availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance with reasonable notice. We are not liable for temporary unavailability or data loss due to circumstances beyond our control.

Limitation of liability

BriefHours is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding any claim.

Intellectual property

BriefHours and its features are owned by Borough Nexus. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our software or branding. You retain rights to your own data and exports.

Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, you retain access to export your data for 30 days.

Changes to terms

We may update these terms occasionally. Significant changes will be communicated via Telegram with 30 days' notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
